Tokyo Express: The Guadalcanal Naval Campaign – 1942

Solitaire or two-player naval wargame simulating night actions off Guadalcanal in 1942. Players command US forces (in solitaire) or both sides (in two-player) and form task groups, assign orders, and choose targets for gun and torpedo attacks. Japanese movements and targeting in solitaire are driven by simple procedural controls that create surprise contact and realistic engagement timing. Combat unfolds when torpedo salvos reveal enemy presence, and play uses graduated rules to introduce complexity as players learn the system.
