It introduces the Champions of West Africa, a team of heroes including Exemplar, Jali, Genome, Maitre Aimant, the Futurist, and Fantasma, along with threats such as King Claw and his followers in Righteous Fire. It also presents the Refuge, a safe haven for refugees established by Mr. Twist, and stories involving Brodha Renbo in Niger, Senegal, and Sierra Leone.
