Amsterdam: Essential Edition

Players act as merchants in early-20th-century Amsterdam, acquiring district, building and profession cards to develop a personal tableau and city presence. Each round presents a fixed offer of cards that cost colored action cubes and grant actions, abilities or scoring; players draft those cards in turn order. Six colored dice are rolled and each player selects one die to receive that many action cubes in that color, then places them on a rotatable windrose to delay use; a wheel advance makes cubes on the nearest space available. Action cubes are spent to buy drafted cards, claim one of nine goods, and move goods or workers through canals to warehouses. Points come from delivered goods, card bonuses and market exchanges; most points after twelve rounds wins.
