Chir 1942

This introductory wargame simulates the December 1942 battles along the Chir River, shortly after the encirclement of Stalingrad. Players command German and Soviet forces at battalion level, with some companies, as the 11th Panzer Division confronts the 1st Soviet Tank Corps and other armored formations near Sovkhoze 79. The game includes 33 counters and an 11 × 17-inch map, depicting the engagements in which German forces used a small number of tanks against larger Soviet formations.
