Crusade and Revolution: The Spanish Civil War, 1936-1939

Card-driven strategic-operational wargame set during the Spanish Civil War (1936–1939). Each player commands one side and manages mobilization, recruitment, movement, fortifications and offensives across a point-to-point map divided into three historical phases that reflect the war’s evolution. Players draw and play from side-specific decks of strategic cards that can represent historical events, provide operations points for activating units, enable long-range strategic redeployments, or supply replacement points for rebuilding forces. Combat cards offer tactical options, and players balance immediate operations against longer-term buildup and international aid. Scale: turns represent months, map spaces cover ~60 km; designed for two players with scenarios from several hours to a full campaign.
