Forgotten Depths

Players cooperate to explore a multi-level dungeon, laying tiles to build each level’s layout and revealing Ecology Elements as they go. Play alternates between Exploring—expanding the map and discovering monsters, features, and locations—and Encountering, when players resolve fights and special site effects. Heroes gain scarce experience used both to buy new abilities and to pay for healing, keys, and items, forcing trade-offs in progression. The game includes distinct dungeon ecologies with unique monsters and features, dozens of one-off encounters and legendary locations, progressive character development, and configurable bosses that change each campaign.
