Grimcoven

Players take on the roles of hunters bound by a coven and enter standalone boss encounters in a dark Victorian setting. Each hunter has a distinct development tree and builds combos through dice allocation: moving across modular arenas, gathering lament, powering armor, forging magical bullets, and executing high-impact attacks against a boss. Games last roughly 2–3 hours and pair different arenas, bosses, elites, and scenarios for varied tactical challenges. Cooperation and positioning matter as players balance growth with risk: accumulating lament strengthens abilities but risks transforming a hunter into one of the hunted.

Regelvragen

Beantwoord vanuit het spelregelboek door de regelassistent van Ludoya.

Do I get more than two actions on my turn?

Each turn is exactly 2 Actions, but you may take multiple turns in the Hunters Phase while you still have available dice and/or Actions. Once you Pass, discard your remaining Active dice and take no more turns that phase (Rulebook, p. 11).

Do I pick up Lament or Treasure if I just move through its space?

No—you may pick up Lament or Treasure only if you end the Action on that space. If you end an Action there with a Status token, you must take it (Rulebook, pp. 12, 23).

Can I Cleanse Hunger, or only Status tokens?

Cleanse discards Status tokens, but Hunger is not a Status and cannot be discarded with Cleanse. During the Lament Phase, you may spend 1 Lament to discard 1 Hunger (Rulebook, pp. 21–22).

Can my Defense token block an Enemy’s Status effect too?

No. Defense tokens reduce incoming damage, but they cannot block Statuses; resolve the Status effect even if you blocked the damage (Rulebook, p. 14).

If an effect says “Move 3,” do I have to move all three spaces?

For a Hunter’s voluntary movement, you may move fewer spaces; forced movement must go as far as possible. Enemies usually stop once they reach the closest Hunter, even if their movement allowance has not been used up (FAQ, p. 1).
