Hunde und Schakale

This abstract strategy game is a modern interpretation of an ancient Egyptian race game, using a board and playing pieces representing hounds and jackals. Players move their pieces according to the positions of the pieces already on the board rather than a randomizer. Moving a piece next to an opposing piece forces that piece to move on its owner’s next turn. The aim is to force the opponent’s pieces onto the final five spaces of their track.
