Illusions of Glory: The Great War on the Eastern Front

Players command Allied or Central Powers forces on the Eastern Front during World War I, managing corps and divisions across a point-to-point map from 1914–1918. Play uses a card-driven system: each card can be played for a historic event, movement, combat, or replacements, forcing choices between operational options. Players pursue objectives such as defeating Russia in maneuver warfare, seizing Balkan objectives, or contesting the Italian–Austro front while guarding against revolution and demoralization at home. The game includes full campaigns and shorter scenarios (Mobilization, Limited War, Total War, Italian Front mini-game), with turns representing roughly three months.
