Navajo Wars

A solitaire card-driven simulation that casts the player as the Diné across three historical periods, from early Spanish contact through Mexican rule to the American campaigns of the 1800s. Players manage family counters on a map, conducting actions such as raids, trade, husbandry, travel, tribal warfare and diplomacy with neighboring groups, and developing cultural technologies (weaving, horsemanship, religion, masters of the mesas, sharp trades) to raise culture and military tracks. Enemy actions are resolved by an order matrix and period event cards that drive Spanish, Mexican and American operations like building outposts, subversion and raids. The game ends if both culture and military reach zero; scenarios for each period or a linked campaign are included.
