Portugal (fan expansion for Age of Industry)

This map depicts Portugal during the height of its industrial development from 1855 to 1865. Designed primarily for three players, it is also playable with two or four, though the map becomes especially tight. Players build industries and railways while managing a constrained economy. Loans provide $1 less for each loan after the first, selected railways are worth $4 at the end of the game, and bonus victory points reward the player with the most points. Government debt and poor economic management restrict construction, with one region or industry unavailable for building at all times. Combining both actions allows construction anywhere, helping players develop a prosperous network despite the limited space.
