Players control one or two knights competing in a tournament, along with a lady whose characteristics influence which knight receives her favor. On each turn, a knight challenges an opposing knight to combat. Players roll dice according to their knights’ attack strengths, while red values on the opponent’s card block matching results. Mounted combat uses low rolls to inflict damage; if both knights fall, the fight continues on foot, where high rolls strike instead. Battles continue until a knight concedes or reaches ten damage points. Prizes are awarded throughout the tournament, and victory points go to the knights and ladies who collect the most, with additional bonuses available.
