Runebound (Third Edition)

Players take the role of one of several heroes roaming a fantasy realm to complete quests, explore locations, and gather skills and equipment. Two scenario-driven campaigns present different threats—an undead menace or a dragonlord—and use adventure and story cards to shape encounters and events. Heroes develop through a customizable deck of skills and assets, engage in tactical combat, and race to overcome the scenario objective before rival heroes or the game's villain. The game supports two to four players and emphasizes exploration, character progression, and scenario-specific narrative challenges.

Adventure Game based on Terrinoth, the world of Descent. Absolutely great and fun. It remidns me very much to Descent, but with less interaction between players, and also to Tales Of The Arabian Night, with the similar adventure feeling.

ECDE #8 Disfruté lo poco que jugué, me recordó a viejos tiempos: mecánicas sencillas, decisiones sin complicaciones; pero me gusta más tirar dados que lanzar tazos.

I like the idea of the game, but its combat mechanics ruin everything. Boring game even with expansion packs.

Regelvragen

Beantwoord vanuit het spelregelboek door de regelassistent van Ludoya.

Can I play this game solo?

Solo and cooperative play are available only with the Unbreakable Bonds expansion, which adds the required rules and components (page 1).

Do I have to spend a water terrain die to move out of a water hex?

No — you only need to spend a die that matches the terrain you are moving into; water dice are spent to move into a water hex or to cross a river, not to leave water (page 1).

Can I spend magical and physical damage at the same time?

No — each damage symbol type (magical vs. physical) is its own combat action and cannot be spent simultaneously (page 1).

When an ability allows me to recast a token, can I recast tokens I already spent?

No — you may only recast spent tokens if an ability explicitly refers to spent tokens; otherwise you cannot recast tokens you've already used (page 2).

Do villains use all seven combat tokens, including the master token?

Yes — villains count as master enemies and use the full set of seven combat tokens, including the master token (page 2).

What happens if I'm defeated by a card ability instead of taking damage in combat?

If a card ability defeats you, you take damage equal to your remaining health and must spend your next action to rest (page 2).
