The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – The Dark of Mirkwood

Players lead a Fellowship of heroes tracking a band of Goblins through the forest after a raid on a Woodman village. The box presents two linked scenarios that can be played as a standalone two-part adventure or integrated into the core set’s Mirkwood Paths campaign. Players cooperate to explore locations, overcome enemy forces and treacherous encounter deck effects, manage resources and card abilities, and fulfill objectives such as locating captives and clearing Goblin lairs. The pack adds new boon and burden cards and scenario-specific challenges that increase tension and force tactical choices as the group presses deeper into the dark of Mirkwood.
