Valley of the Kings: Last Rites

Players act as Egyptian nobles preparing tombs for the afterlife by acquiring goods, amulets, food and other treasures from a tableau arranged in a pyramid. Cards at the base are available for purchase, and buying cards causes higher cards to slide down as the pyramid “crumbles”; the pyramid resets each round with new offerings. Cards serve as both resources and scoring objects: players use cards for effects during the game but only score points for cards they remove from their deck and place in their tomb. The game emphasizes timing and deck management as players balance using powerful cards versus entombing them before the game ends. The title adds a range of citizen roles that influence play.
