Players race to circumnavigate the globe in eighty days by planning routes and managing resources. Each turn, players acquire and play transportation tickets—ships, balloons, and trains—that differ in cost, distance and travel time to advance across a world map while a calendar tracks elapsed days. Players balance cash and time, choose destinations to optimize routes, and encounter event cards inspired by the novel that grant benefits or obstacles. Iconic characters from the story appear to modify rules temporarily, creating tactical opportunities and interaction as players compete to complete the journey within the time limit.
