Assyria: Second Edition

Players develop small riverine tribes into a flourishing civilization along the Tigris and Euphrates. Each round, players bid for turn order, expand territory on a shared map, collect resources like food and gold, and build huts and ziggurats to score points. Periodic floods strike after certain rounds, removing pieces along the rivers and forcing players to adapt placement and offerings. Influence with neighboring cultures and timely offerings also generate victory points, and the highest-scoring player after the final flood wins.
