Players command Roman and opposing forces across campaigns including the Marian-Sullan conflicts, Caesar’s Gallic campaigns, his civil war against Roman rivals, and later British campaigns. Play resolves tactical maneuver, unit combat, command control and period-specific formations using hex maps, hundreds of counters, and scenario-driven objectives. The box includes a consolidated main rulebook for all land battles, a separate naval rulebook, detailed scenario and campaign booklets, multiple large maps, charts and player aids, and plentiful counters and dice for large-scale tactical play.
