Kharkov Battles: Before & After Fall Blau

A tactical-strategic simulation of the 1942–43 Kharkov fighting that adapts the Fall Blau basic rules to cover the Second and Third Battles plus related operations. Players maneuver divisions, corps and smaller units on hex maps, conduct phased movement and combat with stacking limits, and execute Mobile Assaults for mechanized forces. Combat uses a CRT keyed to defender terrain, strength chits for large units, column shifts for air support and other modifiers, and results that allow mandatory and discretionary step losses or retreats with specified advance paths. Supply and German Support Points are traced to HQs and roads to enable mechanized movement and attacks. Multiple scenarios of varying length are included, and an extra map and counters allow integration with the larger Fall Blau campaign.
