Julius Caesar: Caesar, Pompey, and the Roman Civil War

A two-player conflict set during the later Roman civil wars (49–45 BC) where one side commands Caesar’s veteran legions and the other commands Pompey’s younger forces. Players use a hand of cards to move units, levy new troops, or trigger historical events while maneuvering block units on a Mediterranean map. Thirteen towns and cities score victory points; control and campaign decisions determine who can claim the Republic. Play emphasizes operational movement, fog-of-war from block pieces, and card-driven choices that shape recruitment, battles, and strategic positioning.
