La Città

Players manage competing Italian city-states, expanding two cities each to attract and sustain population. On each turn players build farms, quarries, marketplaces, bathhouses, and special structures that provide influence in three civic categories. Farms feed citizens, quarries generate money, marketplaces enable growth, and bathhouses maintain citizen health. At the end of every turn a “Voice of the People” resolution shifts population between nearby cities based on influence. After six turns, scoring rewards balanced city development, well-fed populations, and total population size.
