Players represent rival spacefaring civilizations competing for admission to an interstellar council in the year 2200. Each round, players secure action slots, control key areas, and gather planets and raw materials to generate energy for the council. Players push their civilizations to outproduce previous turns and aim to be the first to complete three quantum leaps, which marks the primary victory condition. The game emphasizes engine-building and area control as players balance resource acquisition, strategic placement, and timing to escalate their energy output and advance technologically.
