Yom Kippur: The Battle for the Sinai, October, 1973

A tactical two-player wargame (also playable solitaire) simulating the Suez Canal fighting in October 1973. Players command company- to brigade-level units on a hex map (2 miles/hex), maneuvering armored, mechanized and airmobile formations while employing rocket artillery, SAMs and anti-tank weapons. Scenarios impose a ticking ceasefire that forces each side to achieve objectives before diplomatic intervention, so players balance offensive thrusts, defensive positioning and time-limited goals. The game uses counters and dice for combat resolution and emphasizes fast, fluid play with relatively low complexity and short scenario playtimes.
