Dungeons & Dragons Starter Set

A boxed starter set that adapts the fourth-edition tabletop RPG into a tile-and-counter dungeon crawl. Players use pre-generated characters and a Dungeon Master uses modular double-sided dungeon tiles to build scenarios while combat and movement resolve with standard polyhedral dice and cardboard character and monster tokens. The set includes a short Quick-Start Rules booklet for players and a Dungeon Master book with advanced rules, several short pre-written adventures, and guidance for creating more. Sessions focus on exploring rooms, resolving combat and skill challenges, collecting treasure, and advancing through scripted encounters.
