Lords of the Spanish Main

Set in the Spanish Main in 1600, the game casts players as historical figures seeking to build their fortunes through trade, colonization, and piracy. Each yearly turn, players bid on properties and slaves, establish colonies, maneuver ships, and negotiate deals with one another. In 1605, a treasure flotilla sails under the control of the treasure player, using a personal or contracted fleet, while other players may attempt to intercept it. The player with the most gold and treasure at the end wins.
