Korona Starego Króla
Players act as rival heirs seeking control of a crumbling, overgrown kingdom, using unique faction abilities and followers with distinct traits. On each round a Herald is moved to locations, then players secretly place cards face down onto regions and reveal them simultaneously. Cards resolve to contest locations, grant rewards and generate influence. Players balance open staking with hidden deployments while reacting to opponents’ agents and agendas across a map that ranges from castle heights to the necropolis. The game runs a set number of rounds; the player with the most accumulated influence at the end wins.

Initial impressions are confirmed, it’s great fun, with tons of tension in every clash. Chasing combos, plotting the perfect moves, and hand management feels incredibly rewarding. Definitely wants to play more.
Kat8,4 04/09/26 - FIRST IMPRESSIONS oh wow. isn't a war game, doesn't feel like one; feels kinda like an auction game on a lot of ritalin and a bit of shrooms? the different mechanisms felt more juxtaposed than mutually implied, but never fiddly. overall quite impressed and eager to play again! P.S.: there are two ungrammatical commas sticking out like pimples on the game board. i had to grumble about it SOMEWHERE

How does the Spring bidding work — who wins a Kingdom card, and how do steals/returns resolve?
Calculate each bid's Strength and resolve bids from highest to lowest (ties by the Order Track); a winning bidder takes an unoccupied Kingdom card or may steal an occupied Kingdom card (or return their bidding card instead) as described for Spring bids and steal/return (pages 10–11).
When and how can I move Supporters to add Strength — can I move them after bids?
You place face‑down Faction cards per Region in Spring, and during that placement you may move any number of Supporters to Regions to add Strength in Clashes; Supporter movement is done as part of those placement/Clash steps (page 12).
If a card is hit by a Deadly effect, is it removed immediately and do its triggered effects still happen?
Deadly elimination is resolved according to the simultaneous elimination rules and the Night/Deadly step: eliminated cards are removed as specified (often to the Lost pile) and mandatory Night triggers still occur per the Deadly rules (pages 15 and 21).
What does Journey do — do journeyed cards automatically buy me new cards at my Site of Power?
Journey moves the Faction card to the Lost pile and grants Journey tokens you may spend at your Site of Power to acquire cards; it does not automatically acquire cards for you (pages 17 and 23).
When I claim a Location, do I get both the Herald and the Location rewards and does the Region immediately resolve?
When you claim a Location you gain the Herald and the Location rewards and then resolve the Region as part of the Claim Rewards step (page 16).
How are ties broken at game end if players have the same number of crowns?
After tallying crowns, ties are broken first by Favour and then by position on the Order Track as the final tiebreaker (page 18).
