Three volcano tiles replace the three gold mine tiles. Each volcano has two edges that grant 2 gold per attached worker and two edges that charge 1 gold per attached worker, so orientation and placement affect income and expenses. The punchboard doubles as a box inlay to hold components securely during storage and transport.
