Players build a medieval landscape by drawing and placing square tiles showing cities, roads, cloisters and fields, matching edges so features connect. After placing a tile, a player may deploy a meeple as a knight in a city, a robber on a road, a monk in a cloister or a farmer in a field; completed features score points for the controlling meeples. Turns consist of one tile placement and an optional meeple placement, producing concise but tactical choices about when and where to commit limited meeples and how to interact with opponents’ features. This edition includes the base game plus additional expansion tiles that introduce new characters and siege mechanics, packaged in a metal box.
