Crypt: The Book of Variants

This expansion adds three alternate game modes and a set of tiles to modify base play. Each mode changes scoring and objectives while using the core mechanics of drafting and collection. One mode, Cursed Treasure, introduces penalties for the player who collects the most high-value (3 and 4) cards, shifting risk-reward decisions. Clash of Houses is a team-oriented variant for larger groups (6–8 players) where pairs compete to control the most valuable treasure; it requires two copies of the base game. Conspiring Twins is a cooperative variant in which players collaborate to recover the most valuable heirloom from ancestral spirits.
