Defenders of the Last Stand

Set more than 50 years after nuclear war, players portray defenders of the last known haven for humanity in the Western United States and cooperate to protect the settlement from advancing raider clans and roaming mutants. Gameplay mixes adventure and conflict resolution: players take on leader characters who can develop mutations from exposure to irradiated areas, manage resources and allies, and confront four distinct invading clans—motorized raiders, Amazon-like riders on mutated beasts, techno-savvy youths, and a huge winged abomination—each represented by miniatures. Scenarios present tactical assaults, exploration of the irradiated desert, and narrative choices as the group works together to keep the town alive.
