Descent: Journeys in the Dark (Second Edition) – Forgotten Souls

A cooperative adventure for up to four heroes, replacing the usual overlord role with card-driven encounters and monster control. Players explore an expanding dungeon, overcome tests, battle monsters, and collect loot and experience across a series of linked encounters. A doom and fate track measures the party’s progress. Failed encounters and other setbacks advance doom, while the heroes’ actions affect fate; the game ends if the two forces meet. The adventure culminates in a battle at the heart of a dragon’s lair.
