Four standalone scenarios recreate key Peninsula battles from the Napoleonic Wars: Bailén, Talavera, Arapiles, and Bussaco. Each scenario places players in command of opposing armies and simulates period-specific factors such as irregular guerrilla forces, unreliable mercenaries, coalition cooperation issues, and the effects of terrain and supply. Play unfolds through tactical maneuvering, coordinated attacks and withdrawals, and event-driven disruptions that can alter unit reliability or introduce reinforcements. Scenarios vary in scale and objectives: some emphasize holding strong defensive ground on ridges, others force one side to manage large but poorly trained formations or to execute timely counterattacks against an equal foe. Victory depends on timing, positioning, and handling unforeseen developments.
