Expands the playable map to include a wide range of smaller, overlooked, or later-emerging polities from the historical period, many of which are only briefly represented in the base game. Players take control of these alternate or marginal realms and use diplomacy, warfare, internal development, and long-term planning to change their historical trajectories and pursue greater power and survival across the game’s timeline.
