Leonardo da Vinci's Codex Leicester

Players take the roles of Renaissance inventors working from Leonardo’s notes to complete inventions that vary from simple devices to grand projects. Each turn players assign workers to locations to gather materials, expand workshops, hire apprentices, acquire automata, and seek support from the Council and sponsors. The game uses a shared market and action spaces with strong player interaction and a race element: completing inventions first grants better rewards and abilities. Play proceeds over seven rounds with evolving board options, objectives, and round-based salary payments; the winner is the player who amasses the greatest fortune.
