Memorization Contraindications

A fantasy roleplaying supplement for Dungeon Masters that examines the expanding spell lists of magic-users and the costs of relying on magic. It compares the limited spell selection of early editions with the thousands of spells available in later rules, then presents drawbacks and complications for commonly prepared spells. Effects can matter outside combat and dungeons, from leaving chalk trails with protection magic to unwanted drooling with water breathing or dangerous heat from a wall of fire.
