Oldskull Grid War

A tactical supplement for Basic/Expert fantasy roleplaying that uses battle grids, miniatures, and visual examples to clarify combat. Optional levels of complexity cover movement, formations, facing, zones of control, line of sight, range, spell areas of effect, missile fire, doorways, terrain, and cooperative attacks and defenses. The guidance supports tactical decision-making without replacing the role-playing focus or turning the game into a board game. It can be used with miniatures and terrain, or with simple markers, pawns, grids, or digital tools.
