Pirate's Cove

Players crew a small pirate ship and sail among six islands over twelve turns, secretly choosing destinations and revealing them simultaneously. When multiple ships meet on an island, combat is resolved with ship stats and dicey cannon fire; winners claim the island’s bounty while losers may flee to the cove for a small consolation. Islands grant Fame, Gold, Treasure, tavern cards, or ship upgrades (Sails, Hull, Crew, Cannons), and Treasure Island allows burying treasure to convert it to Fame. A roaming Legendary Pirate appears and must be fought for large rewards. Between battles and upgrades, players balance risk, bluffing, and timing to amass the most Fame by the end of the game.

Very nice game but best played with 5 players. Any less and you will have fewer battles which leads to strong ships, but then the hunt for the tought pirates might start.

In this game it's easy to get locked into an endless cycle of lose as if you get damaged, other players can bully you off of the repair island every turn.
