The Precursors (Fan Expansion for Magic: The Gathering)

Players called Precursors work together in an RPG/deck-building hybrid based on a cooperative variant of Magic: The Gathering. A Game Master guides up to four heroes through a campaign of six quests, each featuring a different enemy deck and commander. Players build Commander-style decks using cards from any Magic: The Gathering set, then cooperate to defeat the Game Master’s forces. Quests take place across color-themed zones and use five game phases, including phases similar to traditional Magic duels. The Game Master can also play as a hero, allowing up to five players.
