Totems of the Svalich Woods

A one-shot Dungeons & Dragons side adventure for one player and one Dungeon Master, designed for characters of levels 7–8 and set in the dark forests outside the village of Barovia. A young man asks for help after his sister is sent into the woods as a sacrifice to a sinister forest spirit. The adventure follows the rescue attempt through the Svalich Woods, where characters confront the village’s cruel traditions, primal supernatural forces, and a leshen serving the Dark Powers. It includes a sidekick character, detailed NPCs, three new creatures, and two custom magical items, and can be adapted to other dark forest settings.
