Players act as Roman impresarios staging spectacles during the Colosseum’s inaugural games, recruiting performers, acquiring beasts and equipment, and upgrading facilities to attract larger crowds. The game runs over a series of rounds in which players bid, trade, and assign resources to fill show slots, impress visiting nobles, and build temples and gates around a shared Colosseum board. Strategic economy management, timing of star performers, and interaction via new bidding and event mechanics shape scoring opportunities.
