ONUS!: Traianus

A historical battles wargame that recreates large-scale encounters of the Roman Empire around the reigns of Trajan and Hadrian. Players command formations represented by unit cards—infantry centuriae/maniples, cavalry squadrons, and elephants—each with stats for melee, ranged attack, defense, morale, life, movement, and special skills. Action cards simulate orders and battlefield events, producing varied and unpredictable engagements. Generals appear as HQ tokens that grant leadership bonuses and morale boosts to nearby units. Gameplay favors a sizable play area and emphasizes unit positioning, activation of skills, and combined arms tactics to resolve combat and maneuver on the tabletop.
