Players command armies on hex maps using 9/16" counters, maneuvering units, resolving combat, and managing command and terrain effects to reflect historical engagements such as Legnano, Cortenuova, Montaperti, Benevento, Tagliacozzo, Campaldino, and Zappolino. Scenarios vary in scale and objectives, emphasizing maneuver, timing of reinforcements, and the impact of leadership and local politics on battlefield outcomes.
