Defend England against invading Martian Tripods and help refugees escape before the country is ravaged and prepared for colonization. In this solitaire board wargame, deploy Field Guns, Infantry, and Cavalry to oppose advancing Tripod waves. Concealed guns can engage the towering machines, which search for and destroy them with heat rays. Martian forces are controlled by the game system as cities fall, Red Weed spreads, production declines, and refugees flee toward harbors and ships. Preserve healthy regions, destroy Tripods, and evacuate refugees to earn victory points while the Martians gain points through destruction and colonization.
