Expeditions

Players lead private expeditions into a corrupted Siberian taiga after a mysterious meteorite strike. The game combines card-driven engine building with tile exploration as players move a central mech and send workers across a modular map to discover locations, gather cards, and resolve encounters. Play cards to develop power, guile, and special worker abilities; equip the mech with items, meteorite shards, and quest rewards; and manage resources to overcome challenges and fight spreading corruption. Victory comes from building an effective engine and outpacing rivals in exploration, upgrades, and objective completion.

Regelspørgsmål

Besvaret ud fra regelbogen af Ludoyas regelassistent.

Can I move through tiles occupied by other players, and can I end my move on an occupied tile?

You may travel through occupied locations (they count the same against your movement range), but you must end your Move on an unoccupied location; you also may not move through or end on any of the face-up cards among the locations (see page 5).

Can I move my mech back to Basecamp after leaving it?

No — Basecamp is not a location; after moving off Basecamp your mech will always be on a location and you may not move back to Basecamp (see page 5).

If I gain a face-up card from a location or via Gather, do I get its core value or can I activate it immediately?

No — gained or discarded cards are placed in your active row but you do not gain their core value and you cannot place a worker to activate the card at that moment (see pages 7 and 9).

If I get a Refresh benefit from a card or location, does my action token shift to Refresh like a Refresh turn?

No — a Refresh benefit returns all workers and active cards to your mat/hand but does not shift your action token; only a Refresh turn shifts the token (see page 12).

When I Play a card, do I have to choose between taking its core value or placing a worker, or can I do both?

When you Play you may, in any order, gain the card's core value and place a worker to activate its ability (both are optional), noting the worker type and that each card can hold at most one worker (see page 6).

How does Vanquish work — can I take multiple corruption tokens and what about location 20?

Vanquish requires you to pay the cost of the topmost corruption (power or guile), gain that token to your mech mat, and you may repeat this process to gain more while able or willing; location 20 has a single 20‑value corruption and may be Vanquished using a mix of power and guile (see page 8).
