Trace the development of human civilization through a technology tree, researching advances from early antiquity through the Middle Ages and Industrial Revolution to the modern era. Players develop technologies in Military, Science, and Culture, using each advancement to reduce the cost of more advanced discoveries and unlock new ages. Technology cards provide bonuses such as extra knowledge or larger hand sizes, while rarer key technologies encourage specialization. Each turn usually includes two actions, keeping play focused on planning and research.
