Velikiye Luki: Stalingrad of the North

Simulates the 1942–43 fighting around a besieged Russian city during the Winter Campaign. Players command Soviet and German formations as the Soviets attempt to advance through difficult terrain to sever the north–south rail link and encircle the garrison, while the Germans try to hold the town and mount relief counterattacks. Gameplay emphasizes maneuver through rough ground, cutting supply and communication lines, and coordinating attacks and relief efforts. Combat and attrition play a major role as encirclement, relief attempts, and the timing of offensives determine control of key rail and town hexes.

Un juego tipo folio con unos componentes bastante buenos para ser folio. En cuanto al juego en si, no me atrapó su dinámica, el ruso copa todo el frente y no caben ni las unidades, el sistema de movimiento tiene en campo abierto fracciones 1,5pm, lo cual es que a estas alturas me parece de coña que todavía se hagan estas cosas. La situación se desarrolla a paso glaciar y el juego evoluciona lentamente. Pensaba que podría ser un buen juego de iniciación pero la situación no me ha parecido interesante y el desarrollo del juego me ha resultado muy plano.
