Schwarze Witwen

Marry. Bury. Inherit. Repeat. As a Victorian woman seeking a ducal marriage, build a dowry through investments, land, and a succession of husbands. Draft and play cards to develop a tableau, gain income, manage infamy, and arrange strategic marriages. Death cards reset parts of the tableau while providing funds, and housekeeping limits the cards held between rounds. The game ends when a player meets the wealth and infamy requirements, has no current husband, and remarries to the Duke.

Great game and very special theme. It's definitely worth playing, and if that's only for the hilarious comments around the table - "I just killed my husband. Oh no wait, he died a natural death." However, there is unfortunately very little variability in the cards. After one play, you've seen it all. Next game will not chance much.
