Girl by Moonlight

A tabletop roleplaying game about magical girls and other marginalized people confronting oppressive societies, personal struggles, and the consequences of denying their identities. Characters pursue defiant victories against darkness while building relationships and embracing their true selves. Before play, the group selects and customizes a Series Playset that establishes the setting, themes, threats, and special rules. Options include reclaiming a corrupted world, piloting mecha against extinction, facing tragic predetermined fates, or exploring dreams shaped by desire and mass culture. The rules adapt the Forged in the Dark system to support the genre’s emotional conflicts and dramatic action.
