IYE

Two shaman apprentices vie to become their clan’s next spiritual leader by calling and gathering İye, the nature spirits, with the beat of the shaman’s drum. Players alternate moving the drum either by a short natural step or by spending previously gathered İye tiles to extend movement; whatever tile the drum lands on is given to the opponent. Collected İye grant abilities for movement but spent İye are discarded and do not count toward scoring. A cycle ends when only one İye tile remains or when a player cannot move; in the former case each İye type is scored and the majority-holder takes the points for that type, while ties score nothing.
