Long Haul 1983

Set in 1983, this solo roleplaying and journaling game follows a long-haul truck driver making a dangerous journey home through an empty, post-catastrophe world. Each day brings treacherous highways, menacing threats, and the psychological effects of isolation. Players use a deck of cards, dice, and voice recordings to create an original narrative through creative choices, evocative prompts, branching endings, and an accessible dice system. At the end of each day, the driver finds a payphone and leaves a message for someone important who never answers. A 26-song soundtrack accompanies specific in-game events and supports play, recording, and performance.
